Spell Cards Mock-Up!
over 4 years ago – Sun, Nov 03, 2019 at 03:13:49 PM

Welcome back, heroes!

Between their work on the Core Book layout, and their quest to bring news of our fight Against the Darkmaster across the land, Tom and Nik managed to find the time to prepare a mock-up of the Spell Cards!

 The goal here is making spell descriptions easy to read and key information (like Range, Duration, etc) stand out on the cards while keeping them printer-friendly.

We think this first try isn’t bad, but that there's still room for improvement. What do you think? What are, in your mind, the most important features in Spell Cards?

Also, don’t forget that the Grim and Perilous Gaming gang will play the second part of the Winds of War adventure live on Twitch tonight at 9 pm CST on Twitch!

Watch them live on the Grim and Perilous Gaming channel: https://www.twitch.tv/grimandperilousgaming

And if you missed the first episode, you can now watch it on youtube (BEWARE! Spoilers of the Shadows of the Northern Woods campaign ahead!):

Finally, seems we're gonna hit The Cauldron Stretch Goal very soon (8 retweets to the goal as I write), so I guess we'll have to think of something else after that...

Paper samples, layout and more!
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 01, 2019 at 06:34:08 PM

Welcome back, Heroes!

Just a quick progress Update today, we’ll be back with more previews in the coming days.

We received paper samples from the printer yesterday, and we’re very pleased with the quality!

As I write, Nik and Tom are working hard on the new layout. We’re using everything we learned from the Quickstart to make the Core Book not just pretty to look at, but also easy to use and reference during the game!

The new Stretch Goal is going strong on Twitter, we’re already surpassed 50% of the number of Retweets needed, if we keep going like this it’ll be unlocked in no time!

Trick or Treat?
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 07:42:16 PM

Greetings, Heroes!

We have two surprises for you today!

First of all, to celebrate Halloween and the first week of the Kickstarter campaign, we’re introducing a new Stretch Goal:

This Stretch Goal is a little different from the others: it won’t unlock once we reach a certain amount of money raised, but only if THIS specific Tweet reaches a total of 100 Retweets before the end of the campaign.

See it as a small contest: if we manage to get the Tweet shared one hundred times before the end of the campaign, every backer from the Adventurer level up wins a free adventure written by Filip Lončar, author of the Domains horror RPG!

So, hit that button, retweet, tell your friends to do the same, everybody wins!

The second surprise is Blood of the Damned, a short pamphlet featuring:

  • Three ghastly creatures to spook your players with: Ghoul, Werewolf, and Vampire;

  • Three grim adventure hooks for different levels of play;

  • The Witch Queen of Despair: a terrifying Darkmaster example, generated using the Darkmaster creation rules from the Core Book.

Click on the image below to get Blood of the Damned now!

Let us know if you’d use the Witch Queen as the main villain in one of your campaigns, or tell us about your favorite scary moment happened in an adventure you played in the comments!

Bark at the moon!
over 4 years ago – Wed, Oct 30, 2019 at 09:45:31 PM

Greetings, Heroes!

It’s been a tough battle, both here on Kickstarter and FB/Twitter, but in the end the Werewolf prevailed as today’s spooky monster reveal!

Don’t turn off the lights, and watch out for shadows that seem to move on their own, because the Werewolf is out to get you!

Don’t miss our special Halloween Update tomorrow, we’ve got a small surprise in store for you!
